Synopsis
In 1980s Indiana, a group of young friends witness supernatural forces and secret government exploits. As they search for answers, the children uncover a series of extraordinary mysteries. Former Journey lead singer Steve Perry said that Journey’s Season 4 remix of the 80s hit Stranger Things (Worlds Apart) originally wanted it to be 80s, but the technology was lost.
If you are transmitting and someone else is transmitting, you will not hear them
In a number of episodes, people will see “interference” where someone is talking on a two-way or CB radio, where one person is talking/transmitting and another person is transmitting to interrupt, then the other person hears the interference and stops transmitting. This has been done several times on children’s CB radios and radios used by the police. Those radios, the CB, and the police radio from the series don’t work like that.

Stranger Things’ opening titles and text mimic the film grain and look of the 1980s TV series’ opening titles.. I’m one of those who regretted thinking this was a children’s drama, the reality is far from the ad where you’d swear this was shot at 4pm after school time.
It’s an intense, fully immersive drama, a show you can’t help but watch in one sitting
As someone who grew up in the eighties I can appreciate the detail that went into the production, it’s like they went back and filmed it live, it’s incredibly well done. I love the music, it’s so fitting, it takes me back to the wonderful shows of the eighties. I love the quality of both the first and second seasons, the growth and tension that is prevalent in the first season.
It’s like The Goonies meets The Quatermass Experiment
Whether they’re exploring the stars, escaping a dystopia, or making the world a better place, these women are what science fiction is all about.
